Life Reel
I grew up in the Bay Area of California and then attended Westmont College, a small, Christian liberal arts school in Santa Barbara. It is the place where I truly came to know Jesus and where I found incredible, lifelong community. Over my four years there, with the help of a beloved professor, I parted ways with perfectionism and grew into a lover of learning. I learned to think deeply and critically and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies in 1990.
I was married in 1993 and moved to Idaho with my husband in 1997, an intentional decision to step into a slower pace of life and immerse ourselves and our three children in the beauty of creation and the joy of adventure. Best decision we’ve ever made!
I worked in education for several years before realizing that my desire to see people grow went well beyond academic learning; I wanted to help people heal and thrive. So in 1999 I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work at Boise State University, and I have worked in the fields of counseling and wellness ever since. I am currently a licensed clinician in the state of Idaho and maintain a separate counseling practice in addition to coaching. I am also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach for individuals.

My Strengths (Clifton Strengths Finder) are an accurate reflection of my heart and my life: Relator, Empathy, Intellection, Connectedness, and Learner.
My sweet spot is one-on-one or small group conversations in which I get to exercise all of these strengths, and I have found coaching women to be my favorite way to steward these gifts.
As an Enneagram 4, W5, I’m a deep feeler and a deep thinker. You will experience both with me in our coaching sessions. I am quite contemplative, but also very practical. I believe that effective stewardship requires the integration of wisdom and action, and I love discovering what motivates people to change.
